Big fan of the series overall, and RE3 is the only numbered entry I oasis't played in some form. For story continuity, canon, gameplay, value, is information technology a good buy at $20?
If that'due south the current sale, certain.
Information technology should've launched at that toll, aye.
Yup. I'g sure you know information technology'southward a bit brusk but it's yet a super fun game.
For $20? Heck ya. It'due south fun.
Hell yes it is
Expect, you'll become a few people maxim
- It's non as good as RE2 Remake
- It missed an opportunity past not existence as faithful to OG RE3
- It's a bit on the short side
All of these things have elements of truth, but honestly if y'all're a fan of the franchise I had a great fourth dimension with it at full price so $20 is a steal
$xv for me. It's too damn curt and linear.
I certainly call up and then. I paid 40$ for it at launch, and while I was disappointed with information technology ultimately, I yet enjoyed it. I think information technology's worth it at that price.
If you take no real attachment to the original and thus can overlook its (many, imo) shortcomings then definitely.
It'south quite a adept game on its ain merits.
Absolutely, It'due south a very good game.
Absolute no brainer. 9/10 game.
Absolutely. Fantastic game with solid replay value.
Absolutly, altho I thinkbit was worth total price. Im not that huge fan of the serial and havent played the original. Its more action oriented and its nigh 5-6 houer long wich i only saw as poitive, but know that it is a shorter game.
I'd go every bit far every bit to say whilst I capeesh RE2 Remake as a amend overall package, I've actually replayed RE3 Remake more overall at this bespeak considering it'due south a nice lean speedrun
I was withal about half-dozen hours for my first playthrough though
Yep, $xx is admittedly a fair price!
I never played the original and shell it in 4 1/2 hours. I had fun though, and only paid $20.
I paid xv for it and honestly feel a footling bit ripped off. Information technology'due south incredibly short amd the replayability isn't most as swell as other games. The multiplayer spinoff fastened to it is a squeamish gesture to make the package more than worth it, only it is pretty expressionless.
I thought it was worth full toll. First-class first fourth dimension through and it has very high replay value.
It was worth 60 dollars so yeah.
It has some damn proficient replayability.
Shit, I payed full price and thought information technology was worth it, so absolutely for 20 bucks
It's an fantabulous short but sweet game whose sole misfortune is coming out right after a beloved masterpiece. REmake two did the Nemesis mechanic better, but information technology's still skillful here!
20 is perfect.
It's an viii/ten imo
It's just too damn short but what's there is solid
i picked it up for $20 on my ps5.
information technology took me about v hours to beat it, ~6 if you count my 10 deaths. overall, for $twenty i say it's fine, but it was not worth total toll any. at least Re2 remake had 2 dissimilar characters and an A and B scenario for both which gave it more replayability.
It does plenty for $xx, by what yous said it should be a condom pickup.
$xx is a skillful cost. The biggest issue was just length and lack of content (If you didn't want to play Resistance).
I still could've been a amend remake, but that cost evens it out.
Oh yeah, absolutely.
I was initially disappointed with the game, I didn't recollect it was equally good as RE2Make, and it was very short, simply it's yet a pretty good game.
For $xx information technology's definitely worth a play.
Yeah it'southward a skillful ride. I loved information technology because information technology A) didn't bulldoze me crazy with difficult puzzles and B) the activeness focus made it more akin to a summer popcorn movie than some atmospheric horror feel.
$15 for me. Information technology's too damn curt and linear.
Make it $ten
Yeah. $20 is a good price. Pretty curt game overall and I definitely didn't like how they handled dominate battles etc, but it still has some nice production values.
But picked up!
Thanks everyone for the recommendations!
Hell yes information technology is
Expect, you'll get a few people saying
- It's not as expert equally RE2 Remake
- Information technology missed an opportunity by non being as faithful to OG RE3
- Information technology's a bit on the short side
All of these things have elements of truth, but honestly if you're a fan of the franchise I had a bang-up time with information technology at total price so $twenty is a steal
Bingo
Information technology'due south worth more than than that, it just isn't worth as much equally RE2
1000% yes, I played the game for almost 70 hours and 100% it, the game is short, aye, but immensely replayable
yeah def i picked it up during the sale Im really enjoying it, glad i waited to be honest!
While it may not be the Resident Evil three Remake that anybody was hoping we'd get. It's still a very good game and fifty-fifty a adept Resident Evil at that. I paid full price for it so for $20 i'd say its definitely worth it.
Big fan of the series overall, and RE3 is the merely numbered entry I haven't played in some class. For story continuity, canon, gameplay, value, is it a expert buy at $20?
I paid $twenty for it and was just satisfied enough past its quality and length. Good price.
You couldn't pay me $20 to replay the spider section at the power station.
(it is a really fun game, imo)
Information technology was worth it at $threescore, so $20 is a deal you shouldn't pass upwards on.
Aye, it's just disappointingly brusque. Information technology's like four hours long without rushing it.
Also the game has no real replay value with like alternate routes or endings and whatnot.
But information technology'southward an enjoyable 4 hours.
Seems like you already picked it upward, simply I'd say no. I paid $15 and it was a waste matter of 6 or so hours. It falls curt equally both a RE game and an action game.
I'd play RE3 classic over the remake, if that'south an pick.
For $xx, admittedly. The game is curt only it'due south fun enough to play multiple times. I finished it three times. You unlock new weapons and items between runs, and the difficulties are fun because they remix the items and enemies completely. Some enemies fifty-fifty take unlike behavior on harder difficulties (such as zombies lunging more than and moving faster, etc).
RE2rm remains the caprine animal, merely RE3rm is nonetheless very tasty. I'd liken it to a bad pizza. Mayhap you got the wrong toppings or it was overcooked... But at the finish of the mean solar day it's still pizza
